2015 So Far...

A quarter of 2015 has already passed us by! So much has been going on in the cake decorating and Vanilla Valley worlds. We've seen that lots of fab new ideas are arsing and within the Vanilla Valley things have really been gathering speed as work has continued on our new premises plus we've had lots of new products in.
Continuing on from our post at the beginning of the year about upcoming trends for 2015 cake decorating, we've spotted other trends making an appearance. Beautiful hand painted cakes, dramatic statement flowers and the colour grey are starting to leave their mark on weddings and celebrations all over.
We have a huge range of food paint products for all hand painted projects, from paint pots to paint pens. To create those fab statement flowers we have a massive range of cutters and veiners for both petals and leaves alike, as well as modelling pastes in a range of colours or plain white. You can also pick up Grey icing for your super stylish cakes.
We've been very excited to bring into stock lots of new products over the last month or so, from the likes of PME, Rainbow Dust, Sugarflair and SFP. From PME we have some great new cutters as well as new gum paste. We have another of Rainbow Dust's great new products, the Colour Flo range, which is great for airbrushing as well as other colouring needs. We have more colours in the Squires Florist Pastes which offers more great natural colours. And last but not least we also have airbrush colours from Sugarflair.
Those of you who frequent the exhibitions throughout the year will have noticed we weren't at Cake International in London at the end of March. This is because we have been hard at work here getting our new premises all finished up! We managed to get our new Sugarcraft Workshop room ready in time for our February and March workshops, which were a fabulous success and we are very much looking forward to the future courses that will be run in the new room!
Coming up next this year we have the new term of courses planned and one of these is already fully booked! We still have spaces for the Sugarpaste with sharp edges, Carve a Handbag, People Modelling and Large Peony courses. For more information on these course including prices and how to book please see our workshop page.
