What are you making for St Davids Day?

St Davids Day is almost upon us here in Wales and what better way to celebrate than with some delicious cake! Here you’ll find an array of bits and pieces to get you started and inspire you to make some fabulous treats in honour of our patron saint Dewi Sant.
The Daffodil – the national flower of Wales that’s worn proudly by millions on March the 1st – a symbol which can easily be made from sugarpaste to adorn your cupcakes with the FPC Daffodil mould. Alternatively the fine cut metal daffodil cutters are a great tool for creating a host of 3D daffodils, ideal for cupcakes and larger cakes alike. But of course not everyone has the time or confidence to make their own and so the ready made piped daffodils are a quick and convenient way of decorating your creations in an instant.
Other notable moulds fitting for the occasion are the Prince of Wales feathers and probably the most popular is that of the Welsh Dragon. Imagine your cupcakes topped with dragons that are painted with the edible metallic red paint, or your feathers dusted with some shimmering pearl white dust – beautiful!
With white, red and green being the theme why not have a go at making some patriotic cake pops. Coat with the PME Candy Buttons and simply sprinkle with some sparkly edible glitter.
Whether it’s having fun with the kids or making treats for a special gathering we are sure you’ll find all you need here at Wedding Acrylics and we can’t wait to see your Welsh works of art!
