Ganache a Cake Workshop and Upcoming Courses

Our last workshop, the Ganache a Cake course, ran this weekend on the 10th of January. This was a fab new course to learn the best techniques to cover your cake in a beautifully tasty covering of chocolate and of course we love to share the pictures taken on the day.
We've designed and created our very own Ganaching Plates in varying sizes and Round or Square which are available in our Nantgarw store as well as online. These were crafted with achieving a perfect looking ganached cake every time in mind. Unique to The Vanilla Valley, these plates help you to achieve a flat top and sharp edge to your cake and can also be used with buttercream and other types frosting.
Our next workshop, Advanced Royal Icing is on the 7th of February. Designed for anyone wanting to improve their Royal icing skills, this workshop will be teaching different piping skills, from identifying nozzles to line work, from roses and shells to piping basic embroidery patterns as well as combining different patterns to create unique designs. The course will also be covering how to measure cakes and make templates for patterns.
