We hope that you have been enjoying the gorgeous sunny days we have been treated to just recently? It's been a busy month for us here at The Vanilla Valley, Spring has passed us by so quickly and we cannot wait for Summer to arrive!
We've taken inspiration from the beautiful weather and the Spring season to bake and create cakes galore. Here are few Spring cakes that our own members of staff have created.
Spring birthday cakes with daisies and bunting remind us here at The Vanilla Valley of bank holiday fetes and sunny afternoons spent with family and friends. We loved making this cake! For its pretty pastel palette we used Renshaws White and Pastel Yellow Ready to Roll Icing and for the spring flowers we used Culpitts Flower Blossom and Daisy Plunger Cutters. To create the bunting effect round the cake you can either cut these free hand or use this perfect Bunting cutter!
This fantastic Floral birthday cake features Large Peonies and Powder Blue stripes brought together with an array of toning flowers. We love how the colours work together on this cake, its looks so clean and fresh. The flowers were created with Squires White SFP and coloured with Sugarflair colours Fuchsia and Spring Green. The plaque on the front of the cake was created with an Orchard Plaque Cutter.
For a Pearl anniversary cake we embellished a plain square cake with hundreds of tiny flowers made from our brand new Cake Craft Ivory Modelling paste and Doric Shimmer Pearl Non Pareils fashioned into an abstract heart design and finished with PME Pearl Spray to create a shimmering pearl celebration cake.
