Round Silver Cake Cards
Cake cards are great alternative to thick cake drums, ideal for light sponge cakes and in between stacked cake tiers. Cake cards range in thickness from 1.1mm and 3mm thick and are available in cut edge and turn edge styles! That sounds like a like of different options, but we've separated them out below for you to keep it easy for you to find what you need. The "cut edge" cake cards are the thinnest available, these are great for small sponges and light gateaux, but nothing heavier as they're quite flexible. Cut edge means the edge of the card has a raw edge with no foil covering. The "single thick cut edge" cards have the same raw cut edge, however these are thicker at 1.8mm and made from a stronger card. The "single thick turn edge" cards are slightly thinner at 1.75mm, but are made from a similar strong card with foil wrapped over the edges. The "hardboard" cake cards are the thickest at 3mm and have a hardboard centre also making them the strongest.
